Warning to Manson fans and neo-apocalyptic folkists: this won't interest you one bit. Joseph Atwill, redoubtable author of Caesar's Messiah, is working on another magnum opus, this time with his study on the book of Revelation. You can now read his early draft; it's heavy-going yet well worth your perseverance.

So it's like a ' Worlds In Collision' for the New Testament ? With the real events of people replacing those of the solar system ?

Yes, it seems a fair comparison, Martin, it seems they're all related. Whatever the truth, it's clear these books (both OT, NT, and all the non-canonical works) function on a number of metaphorical, astrotheological (compare the work at www.mazzaroth.com for example), and allegorical levels. What's patently obvious is that it's not literal!! That would have been patently self-evident to any contemporary - and it's also a measure of how embarrassingly uninformed and in the dark modern and latter-day believers really are.
