ACT FINAL

It's with a rather heavy heart that I write to announce that the forthcoming dates in the UK this spring culminating with the May 30th concert in Nantes, will be the last that Philip and I do together. It's totally amicable and I have plenty of ideas and new plans for music and beyond, and PB will continue to do Consumer Electronics.

Wow, I don't even know what to say about that....

Sad news as it's hard to even imagine Whitehouse without PB's vocal presence, not to mention his increasingly brilliant lyrics ("Dans" being my favourite WH track period).

Now that you quit doing vocals yourself some time ago, will you continue Whitehouse as a purely instrumental project?

I second sypha_69 - shocking news indeed...

On the other hand I suspect this was inevitable for Whitehouse's continuing developments.

Nevertheless, I wish the very best of luck to both of you. You've still got my support and respect whatever happens.

I'll likely feel down about this for a bit. Though I am glad to have experienced the duo in a live action, and am looking forward to more output from both of you. Either of you giving up music would truly darken my spirits.

Ah, the end of an era. Seems so different, what with your and Mr Best having inspired me to extreme electronics so many years ago. The best to all.

This thread makes me sad.

sad to think of PB no longer involved, although as always I'm enthusiastic about new music from both of you

Guess thats the end of Whitehouse then. Seeing as all the people who made the band what it was- Tomkins, Sotos, Wallis and now Best - have all gone, whats a Bennett to do? Djembe instrumentals?

Suddenly Susan Lawly sales plummet

Well, I guess it's the end of another chapter in Whitehouse's saga, but I trust many good things still lay ahead. I feel you've been doing some of your strongest work in more recent years and, whether Philip is involved still or not, this will continue to be the case. And I'd be quite happy with yr djembe instrumentals...!

That's very disappointing but trying to look at it positively; if you're both prolific in your seperate projects... then we're all winners!

This comes as no surprise to me as It seemed to have been on the cards for some time now. I didnt expect another Whitehouse release after "Ascetecists", as along with "Cruise " and "birdseed" it cleanly, clearly and succinctly formed the final episode of what appeared to me to clearly be a trilogy.
Feel lucky you got "Racket" you swine. More than the boys call of duty to you demanded and more than you desereved.
Eat it.

I was lucky enough to see you in Glasgow at Instal...the only time that I've caught a Live Action; loved it.

Whatever you and Philip do in the future will be warmly anticipated by myself and thousands more.

You've always been ahead of the pack and I suspect that you will be for some time to come
